Me, After You
Me, After You is a podcast created by Ndoni Khanyile that aims to share the real stories of women who have experienced the major life transition of becoming parents. So many of the conversations we have before birth are about preparing for the arrival of the new baby and learning how to care for a newborn. Very little is said about the transition from life without little ones to your new reality as a parent, and even less is said about the grieving and deep sense of loss that many experience with this new identity. We seek to create a virtual community of mothers who can support and hold one another through these monumental life changes, cultivating a judgment-free space of sisterhood that challenges the status quo through an honest sharing of our real and raw experiences. When black women and mothers are whole, healthy and thriving, then society thrives – but we need one another to get there. Me, After You is a space where we can show up for ourselves and each other with honesty, grace and compassion, sharing information and learning tools to lean into the power and purpose of our lives.
